We did a survey to 15 people to know about their point of view of education and poverty, what they think, what they know and their thoughts about it.
People describe poverty as having a lack of basic needs, resources in life, and economy, people not being able to satisfy basic needs.
Education was described as acquiring knowledge through learning and practicing new things to develop skills.
Education is affected by poverty in a way that people can´t have the same possibilities, causing to have a low quality education that cause reduced verbal skills, bad conditions, unawareness, lack of opportunities, etc.
The solutions given by the people to eradicate poverty are:
- Creating new jobs, improve social services
- A non governamental educational system, private schools financed by the government
- Better public educations
- Government and labor programs
- Government should promote and provide free education to those who hasn’t enough economical resources to purchase themselves.
- Create educational programs for people that leave far way from the civilization or from schools
- Putting low resources schools so they can improve
Participants answered that most people with lower income is found in rural areas (93.3%), as shown in Figure 1.

53.3% of people thinks that poverty affects most on education, 26.7% on health, and 20% on development, as shown in Figure 2.

About 100% of the participants consider that education is very important, as shown in Figure 3.

Reasons education is important (answers given):
- It´s a human right
- It allow us to develop and have more opportunities
- It gives equal knowledge and opportunities to everyone
- Because education is the base for everything. A person is going to reach his goals only with the skills that education offers
